What the 'Shield' Covered Up

I'm thinking about doing some recurring posts where I re-write Dionne's columns to be a lot less polite, while retaining his analysis and opinion. I'm also thinking about becoming an astronaut, and that probably won't happen either.

Sometimes, though, his calm prose is pretty devestating.

You can tell the president worries that this won't work, because yesterday he did what he usually does when he's in trouble: He sought to divide the country and set up a bruising ideological fight. He did so by nominating a staunchly conservative judge to the Supreme Court.
